The following vineyards produce several of the distinctive wines in the SDU Winery portfolio.
TG Halli, Karnataka:
Originally planted in 2003, TG Halli is one of the most stunning vineyards in Nandi Valley appellation spread across on the east bank of Tippaganahalli Lake overlooking the Makli Hill. The vines in the vineyard grow in gravelly red loam, with some limestone and good depth but poor fertility - perfect for the Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The vineyard uses only drip irrigation to distribute water to our vines and is maintained and harvested by hand. TG Halli vineyard cultivates incredibly concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon, which is the primary source for the Deva Cabernet Sauvignon.
ID Halli, Karnataka:
Located 30 km past Gauribidanur town, the ID Halli vineyard has a mixture of clay and red gravely soils, ideal for growing grapes. The vineyard uses only drip irrigation to distribute water to our vines and is maintained and harvested by hand.
